Kempinski Leadership Development Certificates

Providing opportunities for growing and developing skills and knowledge is core to the Kempinski Leadership Development Journey. To empower our teams to deliver “Beautiful Performance” we need to drive both employee engagement and develop competencies in commercial and Financial Acumen, strategic thinking, stakeholder relationships and managing change.

Together with eCornell, Kempinski has created two Leadership Development certificates designed to develop all of these key competencies. The courses are accessible to you virtually anywhere, which means that you can choose when and where you prefer to study.

Enrollment Procedure - Email Form For Approval

  1. Click on the Certificate name to access the dates and times of the 6 programs and select your preferred dates and submit your submission request
  2. Click HERE to download the course authorization form, complete it and have it signed by the hotel General Manager, Training Manager and the Financial Controller.
  3. Email a copy of the signed authorization form to corporate.ecornell@kempinski.com
  4. You will receive all course access details  and other information within 5 working days

Audience: Upper level or senior leaders with over five years of experience managing a team.

Programme Context

    • The program covers each of the 5 key leadership competency sets using MBA faculty course curriculum in cohorts that also include non-hospitality delegates.
    • The programs are “stretching” and will take the delegates outside of their comfort zone.
    • The courses are designed to transform our managers to the next level of leadership competency.

DurationEach of the 6 courses has duration of approximately 2 weeks with an additional 6-8 hours of student learning time. The estimated completion time for the certificate is 6 – 12 months

Audience: GMs / Hotels Managers requiring development in overall Commercial & Financial Acumen and high potential mid-level managers with over five years' experience who are looking to move into executive leadership roles

Programme Context

  • The program is designed to build key business acumen with the 4 mandatory courses and then empower the delegate to choose 2 additional “electives” to develop competencies outside of their current role or career path
  • This program is focused primarily on the competencies around driving results and building commercial & financial acumen

KEMPINSKI PROFESSIONAL REVENUE MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE (6 Course Program) (click on course name for hyperlink to certificate details)

Audience: This programme is designed for existing Revenue Management team members with at least 2 years of revenue experience who wish to develop and prepare themselves for a Director of Revenue Position. (Nominations for this programme are done collaboration with the Regional Directors of Business Development)

Programme Context

  • This programme covers the detailed mechanics behind managing a professional Revenue department. Covering the skills and competencies need to effectively manage a revenue department and successfully drive top line revenue.
  • The programme explores the impact of distribution and e-Commerce has on today’s revenue management strategies. The programme consists of both formal learning programmes as well as on-line elements. Information on each of the programmes can be obtained from the course descriptions within this catalogue or online for all eCornell courses.

Audience: General Managers, Hotels Managers and Heads of department with limited background in Revenue Management who wish to develop their Business Development and Revenue optimization skill set.

Programme Context

  • This program is designed to give the delegate a sound grounding in all aspects of Business Development and Revenue Optimisation, covering key topics such as the application of Revenue Management, understanding and strategically managing the distribution landscape and leveraging sales to drive top line profitability. The programme also includes a Kempinski / eCornell Business Development & Revenue Management Certificate.
