Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate

An article in the spring 2013 edition of The Permanente Journal (Dr. Tuso, et al.) concluded, “Physicians should consider recommending a plant-based diet to all their patients, especially those with high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or obesity.”

This online certificate program, offered via the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell, will help you better counsel patients in this effort. It covers the most up to date, broad fundamentals of a plant-based diet: The basic rationale for the diet, its effect on cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, and real-world, practical tips that you can share with patients to make meaningful health improvements.

With commentary and education from many of the world’s leading medical and research authorities on the topic of plant-based diets, this 6-week online program will provide the foundation of knowledge that can be applied to helping your patients take control of their health by changing their diet.
