Course Description

Using an agile approach to project management doesn't mean that you won't still need traditional project management tools such as a Gantt chart, budgets, agreed-upon deliverables, and controls of some sort. It’s not a free-for-all. The difference here is philosophical; it's a difference in approach and implementation. And it's really not a question of your personal preference when it comes to deciding whether you will use a traditional project management approach or an agile one. The nature of your project will drive the need for one versus another. In this lesson, you will examine the philosophical differences between a traditional and an agile project management approach. You will explore what agile means, and consider the benefits and flexibility it offers. You will also access a helpful worksheet that will aid you in adapting agile ideas for your own use.
