Course Description

Budgets, schedules, status, milestones: all of these are part of the standard toolkit of project managers. In this lesson, you will examine some of the ways in which you can implement better project controls by comparing your plans to actual work accomplished and monitoring for variances. You will define "earned value" and you will explore how to calculate planned cost, actual cost, and earned value. You will also practice using this information to your benefit to better inform project-management decisions.
