Course Description

As a project leader, you want to be able to help people engage with their work in a meaningful way and lend their talents and strengths to the critical work facing your organization. One of the ways you can do that is by analyzing your workplace or project team to make sure the conditions are in place for people to be successful and engaged. You can also assess the makeup of your project team with an eye toward people's personalities and natural inclinations. If you have a team full of dreamers, for example, who are more interested in starting tasks that finishing them, you may want to balance that out with someone who likes to see that a job is meticulously completed. In this lesson, you will assess the makeup of your project team and look at ways to find balance within the team. You will also examine the research surrounding the factors that help people engage at work and the different kinds of roles that people gravitate toward on teams. Finally, you will practice applying helpful strategies to keep your team members working to their full potential.
