Course Description

Capital budgeting is at the heart of what drives value for any company. In this lesson, you will examine the six main capital budgeting rules: net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), payback period (PBP) and discounted payback period (DPBP), profitability index (PI), equivalent annual cost (EAC), and return on invested capital (ROIC). You will explore how these rules will help you decide in which projects to invest, which initiatives to fund, and how a management team can work together toward the shared goal of making good capital investment decisions.
