Course Description

Not all feedback is created equally; there are nuances to be considered that will impact how well your feedback is heard and acted on by another person. In this lesson, Professor Streeter will discuss some of the best practices for giving effective feedback, as well as some of the gender dimensions of feedback. Men and women have been socialized to receive feedback differently, as you will see. You will examine why language choices are significant when it comes to feedback and you will complete an activity in which you identify the "sweet spot" of effective feedback: the right mix of challenge and concern.
