Course Description

Being able to give feedback that not only corrects errors appropriately but also motivates someone to pursue greater mastery is at the heart of excellence in leadership for both women and men. Now you will examine why feedback matters, and in particular, why leaders need to help foster a climate in which feedback is welcomed and well received. In this lesson you will explore the employee “motivation trifecta,” which are the three critical elements that drive employee performance. You will have access to a tool with tips for fostering a feedback-positive culture. You will hear from Susan Youngblood, global senior director of human resources at BNY Mellon, about what makes feedback most effective. Finally, you will outline a plan for yourself that will guide your efforts in giving feedback.
