Course Description

When it comes to negotiation, there is no one style that will suit everyone. You need to find a negotiation style that feels comfortable and natural to you and that makes the most of your personality type and strengths. In this lesson, you will examine some of the behaviors that other people use to their advantage in negotiations, and consider whether you want to modify or adapt your behavior to get a better outcome. You will assess your own negotiation style, and you will complete an activity where you leverage past successes in negotiations to look at what you can bring forward into future negotiations. You will also examine some of the gendered aspects of body language, and some of the habitual gestures that may be undermining your performance in a serious negotiation.
