Course Description

One of the essential characteristics of an effective HR leader is demonstrating courage when necessary. Organizations provide many opportunities — sometimes on a daily basis — to exercise courage. Yet action is not always appropriate, and it can be challenging for an HR leader to evaluate which situations call for courageous action and which require another approach.

In this lesson, you will explore how to define what courage means in your current role. You will then reflect on how to make the difficult decision of whether to act courageously. Along the way, you will explore how courage connects to the purpose you have in your organizational role.
