Course Description

"Diversity" and "inclusion" are not synonymous terms, and in this lesson, you will explore the different meanings of the two words from a practical point of view with Professor Lisa Nishii. You will review the effects of labeling and stereotypes and investigate how stereotypes influence people's thinking and perceptions, including "positive" stereotypes such as labeling people "high potentials." Additionally, you will examine recommended methods for reducing prejudice and applying stereotypes to decision making.
