Course Description

Knowing what your most important goals are will ensure that your daily activities and actions are driving you toward higher performance, not only as an individual contributor, but ultimately as a leader within your organization. In this lesson, you will observe the importance of establishing feedback mechanisms and differentiate between outcome and process goals. You will analyze how process and outcome goals can work together to help guide your daily activities and increase your performance potential. By participating in an activity, you will develop an appreciation for the impact goal-setting can have on your performance, even in situations when the stakes are low. You will also have the opportunity to set a specific and challenging outcome goal and support it with a specific and challenging process goal. For both types of goals, you will consider ways you could track your progress by establishing a feedback mechanism.
