Course Description

Decisions that have been identified as requiring deliberation are likely to have a degree of complexity that requires some process management. You need to be prepared to devote the time and effort needed to define cause-effect relationships, moderating factors, stakeholders, inputs that inform the decision, and the relative value of these inputs. In this lesson, you will examine how to develop a road map for a deliberative decision you are facing in your own work or personal situation. Then, you will identify data that could serve as inputs to determine the strength of the causal links, and to what extent those links were affected by moderating factors. You will carefully consider the source for each of the data inputs, taking into account potential for bias and other factors that might affect the reliability of the data. You will also examine a model for defining risk that emphasizes when risk is a benefit to you and when it is not.
