Course Description

In this lesson, you will explore a disciplined approach to decision-making. This begins by thinking about a triage approach to decision-making in which there are a small number of possible outcomes: decide immediately, delegate the decision, or pause to deliberate. This simplified approach will allow you to make many decisions quickly and consistently. You will also examine the power of raising the frame, unbundling and rebuilding attributes, and splitting the difference with options. Finally, you will identify opportunities to apply these techniques in your own decision-making and add to the set of alternatives in a decision you were facing.

Benefits to the Learner

  • Examine a strategic approach to categorizing and addressing decisions in a timely and efficient way
  • Practice identifying potentially advantageous alternatives that may not be immediately apparent in a decision-making situation
