Course Description

There is a shift from businesses focusing exclusively on IQ to also focusing on social and emotional intelligence. Businesses are focusing on how well you know yourself and how well you know others. In this lesson, you will explore the essentials of social and emotional intelligence. You will then consider the importance of listening and demonstrating that you’re listening using nonverbals. Professor Pam Stepp will discuss the key differences between social and emotional intelligence and the culture shift toward placing a higher importance on how socially and emotionally intelligent people are. You will also examine your own levels of social and emotional intelligence, and evaluate how you could improve in the future.
