Course Description

In this lesson, you will examine the point method, an approach to compensation that helps you ensure people are being paid fairly. You will explore the criteria that are applicable to your organization and the market you work in, and you will determine how to factor those criteria into your compensation equation. You will also identify benchmark jobs and compensable factors, scalable weights and measures, and the market pay line while utilizing two helpful tools: the Job Family Worksheet and the Job Evaluation Worksheet.
