Course Description

This course further explores the role of human resource managers and provides how-to instruction on recruiting and hiring staff for field missions. This course reviews fundamental UN values and protocols for HR management and introduces new staffing policies in effect since 2010. That same year, the UN launched Inspira, an new online recruitment tool that is designed to help you align potential hires with the position at the UN that suits them best.

You'll learn how to effectively communicate with field personnel managers and occupational group managers (OGMs) to address shortfalls in staff and coordinate hiring as new developments emerge.

This course enables you to establish further competence in UN policies and protocols as they relate to Human Resources, and to become better prepared to recruit and retain the best and the brightest field staff.
