Course Description

In this session, attendees can expect to learn about the influence of dry cow management on colostrum production, about the newest recommendations for colostrum management and feeding, as well as how to monitor the success of these programs on farms. This talk will also cover non-IgG components in colostrum and transition milk and their importance for the newborn. Lastly, this talk will cover post-harvest heat treatment and storage strategies and how they influence colostrum components that relate to calf health and growth.
