Course Description

Although disguised as typical, routine, and easy in primary care practice, the art of administering vaccinations is not always straightforward. With advances in vaccinology and knowledge of infectious disease, expert guidelines are constantly evolving and challenging the ways in which we have previously thought of and delivered vaccines. This, coupled with assimilation of knowledge (whether it be correct or incorrect) that clients gather, can make it difficult to execute the vaccination protocols that will best protect our canine and feline patients. We will discuss the implementation of new vaccination recommendations from leading authorities and how to approach perplexing immunization scenarios in everyday practice.
