Course Description

This lecture is intended to review what essential knowledge and skills veterinary technicians/technologists need to be prepared on day one (1) working in the small animal emergency room setting. This lecture will focus on the concepts of triage, CPR, venous access, basic monitoring equipment (ECG, blood pressure), medical math, and the team approach to working and providing patient care in an emergency care environment (i.e. multi-tasking, asking questions).
