Course Description

How your team contributes to the organizational mission and the achievement of goals defines its value proposition. Strategic leaders understand this and focus on enhancing and increasing that value. Therefore, assessing your team’s organizational impact and aligning its operations with the broader mission is imperative. We all have unique strengths that make us valuable contributors to our organizations, families, and communities. Better understanding our own capabilities enables us to grow and meaningfully engage with those around us. In this lesson, you will evaluate your team’s value proposition and consider how to intertwine your team’s culture and day-to-day operations with the fulfillment of the organization’s broader mission. You will then align them by creating vision and mission statements, and outlining a delegation plan to reinforce them. You will also develop a strategic plan that incorporates the fulfillment of your team's mission and maximizes your team's value within the organization through deliberate delegation and communication. Finally, you will develop your personal strategic plan based on your vision for your professional career, and you will create your professional brand pitch that succinctly describes who you are as a leader and what value you bring to your organization.
