Course Description

Mediation is a flexible process for resolving workplace disputes. Understanding the process can help the mediator as they set expectations and share the power of mediation with the disputing parties. In this lesson, you define mediation and determine how it may be applied by a manager in a workplace setting. You also describe each stage of the mediation process and determine the mediator's role within each stage. Finally, you examine the various ways that managers can shape mediation.
