Do you buy generic versions of some products but only specific brands of other products? If you always buy a specific brand of a product, that product’s brand manager may have successfully developed that brand to command a premium. That is, the brand manager has ensured that the specific brand is worth more to you than any competitor’s brand. In this lesson, you will explore what a brand is and how to evaluate its value. You will have the opportunity to assess premiums commanded by commonly known brands, and you will apply what you learn by evaluating your own specific brand.
