Course Description

It is the leader’s job to position the organization for long-term success. That is no easy task in our volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world, where instability and change are prevalent. How do you handle the many challenges you face as a leader that are outside of your control? For example, how do you control extreme weather events, natural disasters, and cyber attacks? In short, you don't. Instead, you prepare for them. More specifically, you prepare for events that have the highest likelihood of occurrence and would have the highest impact if they occurred. In this lesson, you will examine how some of today's most effective leaders prioritize and prepare for potential occurrences that are outside of their control. You will practice formulating a plan that identifies which unexpected challenges your organization should prepare for and develop methodologies that build resilience into your organization when you do suffer setbacks.
