Course Description

We live and work in an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. Learn from General George W. Casey, Jr. (Army Chief of Staff from 2007-2011 and an expert on VUCA and strategic leadership) how leaders understand and counteract the impacts of the VUCA world to lead more effectively today. How do each of these elements affect your organization or team? What are the root causes in your workplace and the surrounding environment? And, significantly, what steps can you take to mitigate the impacts? In this lesson, you will hear about the harmful impacts of VUCA on leaders and organizations as General Casey relates his firsthand experiences with this phenomenon in wartime Iraq. You'll also gain insights into how you can identify and combat these formidable challenges in your own organizations.
