Course Description

Once you have quantified the risk of your system, you may have a pretty good idea of where the biggest challenges are. Now you can take this assessment further. The process you have gone through gives you the information necessary to manage risk as effectively as possible and to lessen its negative impact on the system. In this lesson, you will designate corrective actions that can help mitigate the risk of system failure. You will determine the adjusted ratings for severity and likelihood after your corrective actions are applied. You will assess the risk of your overall system at multiple stages of the process by using stoplight charts. Additionally, you will explore the concept of detectability, and how its addition to your FMEA can provide a more robust analysis.
