Course Description

To learn how to manage your emotions, you first need to assess where you stand on a number of traits. Having an honest, self-reflective snapshot of your emotional predispositions will not only help you focus your development efforts, but it will also let you measure your improvement. In this lesson you will take stock of where you stand on two global traits: negative affect and positive affect. You will also examine your anger, anxiety, and depression traits, all of which are sub-components of negative affect.

Benefits to the Learner

  • Evaluate where you stand on several emotional traits by completing four short self-assessments
  • Interpret your results and determine how they can be used to aid in your leadership development efforts
