Course Description

What does your system need to do? What functions must it perform? These are important questions to address during the early design stages of your system. To help answer these questions, you need to identify and build a list of all the ways in which your system will be used. In this lesson, you will capture the set of scenarios that your system must handle to meet the needs of the challenge you are addressing. You will identify and document use cases for your system, use actors and problem statements to expand your use cases, and account for special cases.

Benefits to the Learner

  • Develop a use case list that will help you capture the set of functionalities your system must have to successfully meet challenges
  • Learn how to take functional requests from your stakeholders and put meaning behind them to derive additional use cases
