Course Description

When pursuing change, you want to take decisive steps to achieve your short- and long-term goals rather than wandering aimlessly. One technique for identifying a clear path toward change is to produce a theory of change that clearly outlines a set of logical but flexible steps for achieving your goals.

In this lesson, you will explore the different traditions of change work and the types of change you could pursue. You will also discover the five steps of developing a theory of change. You will then examine a case study of an organization that used a well-developed theory of change to reach desired outcomes. Finally, you will develop your own theory of change to address an inequity of concern to you.
