Course Description

All leaders have to negotiate at some point, whether for their team, their organization, or themselves, but not everyone who comes to the bargaining table faces the same set of expectations from other participants.

In this lesson, you will explore the ways in which gender stereotypes and the double bind affect women's power and status and make negotiation different for women. You will investigate ways to challenge the structures that uphold gender bias and power imbalance in your organization’s culture. Finally, you will examine how gender, power, and status have affected your past negotiations and use that knowledge to prepare for the future.
