Certificate Description

Women play a vital role in driving economic growth within their communities and in the global economy. And yet, no matter where in the world they live, women often face challenges in accessing necessary capital and other resources.

The Bank of America Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell provides women entrepreneurs with the practical educational resources to build, manage, and scale a successful business. In this series of six online courses authored by faculty of Cornell University, students will identify critical skills in entrepreneurial leadership, communication, and relationship management, and will find ways to carry out effective customer discovery, lay the right legal building blocks for a venture, seek appropriate financing, and create a product development strategy. Throughout the program, students will identify both opportunities and vulnerabilities in key areas of their venture and walk away with action plans for increasing their chances of success. This program, made possible by Bank of America, is offered at no cost to participants.

Authoring faculty are Deborah Streeter, the Bruce F.
