In today’s uncertain times, employee relations issues are on the rise, and developing the skills to navigate them has never been more critical. Proactively managing employee concerns, with practices and processes in place to mitigate internal issues in a professional manner, takes forethought and preparation. Handling internal investigations fairly and purposefully will help prevent reputational harm to organizations as well as legal monetary damages.

In this comprehensive certificate program, you will begin by completing a set of five online courses where you will study current techniques for identifying, managing, and addressing employee relations situations and internal investigations.

After completing the first portion of the program, you will start a 12-week live virtual course consisting of 13 three-hour interactive Zoom sessions. You will practice and apply the full progression of internal investigations, including identifying serious complaints, interviewing employees, structuring and conducting the investigation, concluding and evaluating the process, and facilitating conflict. You will have the opportunity to engage with employee relations and legal experts, investigators, and your peers to assess best practices, discuss current challenges when conducting internal investigations, and problem-solve employee conflicts. By the end of the program, you will have an in-depth understanding of key practices, acquire skills, and gain tools for conducting effective employee relations conversations and fair internal investigations.
