Course Description

Designed for higher education administrators, the Administrative Management Program, offered by Cornell University and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) will help you become a more effective leader, hone your managerial skills, and provide you with the latest strategies to excel at your college or university.

This intensive program combines engaging faculty-led presentations with in-depth discussions led by senior university administrators and managers working in innovative and highly effective ways. Through presentations, workshops, and case studies, you'll explore a variety of timely topics while learning from and networking with your higher-education peers. Experience beautiful Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, while expanding your network and discovering best practices through collaborative and thought-provoking sessions.

The Administrative Management Program is a long-standing collaboration between Cornell and EACUBO, widely known as the Administrative Management Institute.

IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION

  • Please note that while the on-campus experience will begin August 5, 2024, access to pre-program information in your Administrative Management Program Canvas course will begin March 25, 2024. You will receive instructions on how to log in and access the course. Within the course, you’ll find program, travel and accommodations information, and a Networking Lounge where you can introduce yourself to the other program participants and begin building connections. If there is pre-work assigned for the program, we will notify you via email when it’s time to begin the pre-work.
  • Your on-campus experience will take place at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, USA, beginning August 5, 2024, at 8:00am with registration and a continental breakfast in The Statler Hotel. The formal program will be held August 5-8, ending at 12:00pm on August 8. Please do not make plans to depart before 12:00pm on August 8, as you will not earn your Cornell certificate if you leave early.
  • Margaret Stevens, Executive Education Program Coordinator, will be your program contact moving forward. If you have questions that cannot be answered on the FAQ page, please feel free to reach out to Margaret at mec356@cornell.edu.
  • A reception with drinks and appetizers will be held Monday evening, August 5, starting at 5:30pm. 
  • Continental breakfast and buffet lunches are provided daily. You will be responsible for your own dinners. 
  • Business-casual attire is appropriate throughout the program.
  • Please note that your session materials will be available digitally. You will need to bring a laptop or tablet with you to campus to access these materials during the sessions. Access via mobile phone is not possible.
  • You are responsible for arranging for your own travel to Cornell and your own accommodations; please see our FAQ page for useful information. 
  • If you require a travel visa to attend the program, please email Margaret as soon as possible. If you are unsure whether you will need a travel visa, please visit the U.S. Department of Homeland Security website for more information.
